Chuck Jaffe from our friends at MarketWatch wrote an interesting article on the new warning system for Pink Sheet Stocks.

Mr. Jaffe points out in the article that it will be interesting to see how investors react since the Pink Sheets will actually be controlling the monitoring system

It is obvious to this Blog that Mr. Jaffe never studied investor psychology. Mr. Jaffe, if the State of Nevada Gaming Commission required the Bellagio to place a warning system in the middle of the Bellagio fountain, would gamblers stop coming?

Investors, gamblers, speculators and citizens of the Gold Rush; we all want the American Dream. And in this case, there is no better American Dream than to buy a a stock at $0.01 and convince yourself that it’s going to $1. Investors that buy pink sheets do not buy these stocks for the balance sheets in the same way that an astute banker does not buy $100,000 in chips at the roulete wheel and mistake it for treasury bills.

There’s your answer.
